The Lafuma Evolution features an open head and foot design (the crosspieces have been removed from the upper backrest and lower leg rest). This open design is visually appealing as a flowing surface is created with no visual breaks -- and allows for increased comfort as a point of contact is eliminated in the foot and head areas.

The Lafuma Evolution Zero Gravity Chair offers a cinematic system with fixed armrests in all seat positions, making it easier to alter the reclining angle and to get up from the chair. It can be reclined whether by easing body weight backwards or by pushing on the arms. This feature can be of particular assistance to shorter or less mobile users.

The seat fabric of the Lafuma Evolution Recliner is suspended by clipped elastic bands made out of injected elastomer. This method of suspension provides slightly firmer comfort support than the Lafuma RSX & Futura Lace models which use  elastic lacing cords giving hammock-like comfort to the user
